I am looking to set up on my website FTP so that members of my staff can share files. I am sports media and photography site and I am looking for ways to keep from having to email files, (some very large ) back and forth. Do I have to set up a folder on the site for the files to placed in and downloaded from? I do you FTP on my photo hosting site (exposure manager). Can anyone point me in the right direction? If you wish you may email me.

There are a lot of better ways for collaboration, but if FTP is what you want, most web hosting services will give you this for free. But know that SFTP is more secure and also available through web hosting packages. But there is usually only one FTP or SFTP account, so everyone will show up as the same person.

Sites liege Basecamp allow you to share files and work with others with good security..

P.S., in your signature it should be "If it were easy..." not where..
