Page Break on Wordpress Blog

Greetings Macfans. I have a Wordpress blog I host at my website. I really like it; I just have a small issue with page breaks. I want blank lines between one section and another. I try using

<br>
<br>

but it doesn't work. Is there another html command for page breaks that will work for this purpose? Thank you in advance for any replies.
