I have created a website which uploaded fine from iweb, using easy iweb uploader, to the internet. Now, there is an error message when configuring the uploader saying "could not contact FTP". I have uploaded the whole site from a different computer so it is on the internet. Except, on the original machine, I can't see the page live, or contact the ftp to amend it.

Have I messed it up by uploading from a different machine? I just want to get it back working on my machine so I can alter and reload it.

Check the FTP details on iweb. Click on the main website file on the left of the page then click 'publish to FTP' and re-enter your FTP details. Althernativley you can publish the website on your desktop then use http://www.net2ftp.com/ to upload the files.

If you haven't changed the website on another computer you can just upload it again from your computer, once you have made the changes.

What version of iWeb are you running? If it's '09 or newer you should be able to upload via FTP directly within iWeb. If you have an older version, such as '08 or '06, you would need to export the site and then use a standalone FTP app to upload. I'd recommend either Transmit or CyberDuck.

That said, I would recommend upgrading to '09 over anything else as it will solve your problem immediately.
