You should spend some time on http://www.webhostingtalk.com/

They're part of the INET network also.

I'll refrain from giving a shameless plug.

Wow, do I feel like a voyeur (sp?) Spending time on a message board on a subject you don't understand is weird. They seemed to be mostly hosters, rather than users. I found a little postcast stuff, thanx for the link.

I recently switched to Site5. (www.site5.com)

They have been awesome... and although you might be able find some cheaper prices... I have yet to experience even the slightest problems or downtime... I also have a reseller account there and it has been great.

Okay, they are now on my list. I am hoping to go Canadian though. I have another question. Site5 includes I think, software for message board, do most host have this type of thing?

A lot do, I used to have hosting through 4eit.com and it came with all kind of software support that I never used.

I have heard good things about Dreamhost.com, I wouldn't recommend 4eit.com just because they are located overseas and when I had problems, contacting them was a pain.

I run a small hosting company. Most of my clients have small sites < 10 GB traffic a month, but I have a few that transfer in the hundreds.

My plans start at $10/month for 10 GB transfer, 1 GB space. Unlimited DB, email, etc. I can give you image gallery and forum software for a $20 setup fee, otherwise it's up to you. My only real limitations are no pornography and no IRC bots.

Ah ha, You see, I have no idea what I need, but on other forums I have been pointed toward the 200 gb/mon area, So I thought thats what I need, but I probably don't. (very new to this) Basically I want something that is idiot proof and I doubt that I would need more that 100gb. Thanx for the reply.

I just have one more question before I buy.

I plan to use rapidweaver or word to build pages plus host my blogger blog and maybe a message board. Can I do this with any host, or do I need to look for something specific. (God I wish the host had a decent FAQ.)

What language is blogger? Most cheap hosts support PHP, but if it is something like like ASP .NET you'll have trouble finding a decent host.
