Linking/imbedding a PDF into iWeb site

Does anyone know how I can link or imbed a PDF into my iWeb site? I don't think it is possible to link it since the file exists on my desktop and no one can access it, but is there a way to imbed the actual pdf file itself, so when the user clicks on it it will open up?

I do this all the time on my site.

All you have to do is place the PDF online somewhere first (I use my iDisk, since I'm a MobileMe member, but any old web space will do). Then you can link to the file that way (http://idisk.me.com/YOURUSERNAME/Public/FILE.PDF in my example) in iWeb.

Thanks guys. Having a website is new to me, so I didn't think about my own "server" part. Instead I was thinking, how can people see my desktop??
