Suggestion for an HTML editor

I am new to Macs. I know HTML/CSS and have maintained a Website using Windows and an HTML editor called "HomeSite". Is there a comparable editor available for use with a Mac? Thanks you.

Along the lines of what it sound like you are looking for and with what is being suggested I would say give Kompozer (freeware) a try

Kompozr is really buggy. BBEdit or Textwrangler.

Don't know "HomeSite" but TextWrangler is great, also Coda by Panic is very pleasant to use...

Textwrangler is great but if you are looking for something a bit more powerful Coda is a great choice.

I will add yet one more vote for TextWrangler. I've used it along with my limited knowledge of CSS, HTML, and PHP.
