I need a place to share info with a group
I'm starting an investment group with about 10 members. I'd like to have a space on the net which could hold simple documents like spread sheets, links and messages which could be accessed, read and added to by members of the group (not the public). Also perhaps the ability to mail everyone when changes occur.
Any suggestions? I don't want to host a web site, it's fairly simple stuff.
Your simplest (and still very reliable and usable) option is probably to just sign up with a free gmail account and use Google Docs.
You can share documents - or restrict user to only being viewers of a document, or give them editing rights. You can create folders, share and create doc, xls, presentation documents and pretty much cover everything you've said you need.
