One thing im missing for diagrams and the such, is microsoft publisher.

Is there any equivalent for mac to make flow diagrams etc..?

In brief....no. Publisher only comes with the PC version of Microsoft Office, and from memory, Professional. Here is a link to your question with suggestions:-

There are Mac programs for diagrams. Check out Omnigraffle.

MS Publisher is an interesting choice for a graphics package. Visio would be the more popular choice on windows. Omnigraffle is similar to Visio.
