Is it possible to have your daily calendar as your screensaver?

I am debating purchasing an iMac as a family computer to sit in/around the kitchen. It would be used to keep track of the family schedule, notes for each other , Skype running etc. I would like to leave it on 24/7 and have the screensaver show the daily or weekly appointments/notes, grocery lists etc so any family member passing by can see what's going on. Its a good way for everyone to communicate with each other as well.
I believe the HP Touchsmart is targeting this market but the touch part doesnt work too well from what I can tell so until Apple comes out with a mac based on the iPhone interface + handwriting recognition an iMac maybe the way to go.
So is the screensaver possible? I dont know how to program anything so I would have to buy this software.
