I have produced word documents with specialized headers (text and graphics) back when I used a pc and Office 2003. I've tried to open those file with Word (Mac Office 2004) and the headers won't show....

Any ideas?

That shouldn't happen, can you backsave the document to see if that fixes it

also try downloading Neo Office, see if that sees the header then you might be able to save the in a word format that works

Depending on how 'fancy' the things you were doing were, it may not open properly in other versions or in other suites. That's part of the 'lock-in' that happens sometimes with some vendors.

Neo Office really messed up the header but pages opened it up correctly...doesn't make sense that mac office wouldn't.
