My friends inserted a cd into the macbook and it restarted. Now that i turn it on it keeps booting from it which i do not want. How do i interrupt it and boot from the HD?

Or is there a way to pry it out of the cd drive without turning on the computer?

Hold the option key while starting. You'll be able to select your system folder.
Also, you can go to System Preferences-startup disk

When all else fails, try everything!
