Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but here goes. Before I start let me just say that I don't condone piracy of music or movies. All my music and movies I have for my IPOD I either have on cd/dvd or purchased from ITunes. Having said that I was discussing owned DVD's with a current MAC user (I plan on getting an IMac as soon as my income tax comes in) and she tells me that there is an app that can convert my personally owned dvds to play on my IPOD with one button. Is there such a feature on the Mac or is she mistaken. She didn't tell me which app does this but I am curious. Thanks in advance for not shooting me for posting such a question. I tried to be as ambiquous as I could and still get my question across.

You are not able to rip commercial DVDs, even if you own them. It's a violation of the DMCA.
