Hi there

I've got MS Office 2004 for Mac on my macbook. Recently it crashed on me, i.e. I can't open any MS Office documents like word docs and excel spreadsheet.
To try and fix this problem, I uninstalled it by removing it from the "Applications" folder to the "trash" and emptied the trash.

Now when I try to re-install MS Office, it comes up with the error message:

"Application Launch Failure"
"The application "Office Setup Assistant" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "<Office Setup Assistant><Office Setup Assistant><CarbonLib><>"

How do I fix this? Has anyone ever encountered this before? If you guys don't know how to fix this, can you at least point me in the right direction please?

And if worse comes to worse, you could always download one of the alternative suites to use until you get MS up and running again. At least, then, you wont be cut off from your work.
