Coming from a PC, I find this feature to be kind of burdensome on a mac. How are you supposed to arrange your files on the taskbar (forget what its called on macs). On PCs, if you have a lot of word or internet windows, if you minimize them, they are arranged in one single column that represents all of the windows. What is a way on macs to keep everything organized and easily accessible on the taskbar?

If you press and hold (or right-click) on an application's icon in the Dock, you will get a menu of all of that application's windows.
The Dock does not try to organize your windows for you. Icons you place in the dock stay where you put them. Applications are placed from left to right (or top to bottom) in the order that you open them. The same applies to minimized windows on the left side of the divider. |
