How Do I stop applications at Start Up

Ok I installed the HP software that came with my printer and everytime I start up my computer it Launchs how do i stop it from doing that and every time my computer hibernates.

Mac Specs: Pwnt
Go into system preferences : accounts. Select your account and choose 'Startup Items'.

Ahh still doesnt work how do you add and remove programs on OS X this Hp Crap still boots up everytime i hibernate this machine and shut it down

Mac Specs: 12" Apple PowerBook G4 (1.5GHz)
To remove a program on a Mac, locate its icon and drag it to the Trash.

If you have trouble finding it, look in the Applications or Utilities folder (which is inside the Applications folder.)
