hey ive been looking to buy a mac book for a rather long time- im pretty sure its the best designed laptop both aesthetically and in soft/hard ware terms..

anyway i was looking to buy just a macbook but i recentely won a scolarship for one of the top schools in my state.. any who i decided to spend the entire sum of money on the macbook .. for "educational purposes" of course

the big question now is pro or just normal ill be using it for a lot of music video/ video editing/ creating, things of that nature..and schoolwork obviously

what do yous think i should do???

If you're editing videos, the MacBook Pro is your best bet.

-- Unibody 15.4" MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz Core2Duo Penryn, 250 GB HD, 4 GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 9400M & GeForce 9600M GT w/ 256 MB) --

MacBook Pro all the way.

While the MacBook is a superior Laptop in its class, It still does lake the Graphics Processing Power of the the MBPs that you'll need for all the Video Editing you'll be doing.

Congrats on the Scholarship, and enjoy your MBP.

Cheers

Go with the pro if you can afford it. I just bought my wife a 15" MBP and she LOVES it. She has had a macbook for the past year and last week we were in the Apple store and I said, lets get you a new computer. She flipped out and started crying and stuff, it was cool. (I was also able to swing a new iPod touch)! She does a lot of photo editing with her business and she said the pro really makes a difference.
