password protected files?

is there a real easy way to do this? just wondering ya know.

Try macupdate.com i remembe rseeing a program that would do it

You can also create an encrypted, password-protected disk image using the Disk Copy or Disk Utility program (in your /Applications/Utilities/ folder)

can i password just one folder? I don't see why this needs to be so complicated...figured apple would make this easy for me!

I'm a Mac newbie myself, and I do what technologist mentioned. It's very convenient for me.
