problems with internet connection,plz help

like recently all of a sudden i'm getting kicked out..my modem just hands up.....should i blame my isp{using the same isp on my pc with no problems} or what??????
is their any software that will prevent my modem or isp from kicking me out,or should i change isp...any advice will be appreciated.

Look at preferences for a disconnect if idle for xx and disable it

Mac Specs: Dual 2.2GHz powered by AMD Opteron - *Sends G5 & 8Gb Ram to scrap heap* Yeah! finally switched BACK!

Model user: System Preffs > Network > Modem > PPP tab > PPP Options



Broadband user:
System Preffs > Network > Built-In Ethernet > PPPoE tab > PPPoE Options



Change the settings to suit your need. Also get to know your System preffs just incase you have any other problems.
