Okay everyone,

I just have to say,
So I got my PowerMac in the mail today, and i was so excited.
I got it off ebay, it was $220 from seller ComputerGeeks.
There is still one left ya know.....
And here is the BEST part,
On the eBay page, the seller says it has a 20GB hard drive and it has Mac OS 10.3,

But i get it, and it has a 40GB hard drive and Tiger!
WHAT A NICE SUPRISE!

Ill still be upgrading the 40GB but im so happy about that!
I was skeptical because the listing doesnt have the acutal pic of the actual PowerMac i was getting but just a whole lot of them,

it was in great condition, great packing with that foam stuff, and even included a power cord.

And its SO darn fast!
I havent taken the ram out of my iMac yet, but even with 256MB this thing is blazing!
WOWWOWWOWWOWWOWWOW!

And im tellin ya,

it feels SO good to get away from the tiny screen of the iMac g3.
Even though my monitor is an old 17inch CRT, its So much better than the iMac.
Im so happy i bought it!
Now all i have to do is wait for the modem in the mail (it didnt come with one)

Here is the specs.

Digital audio
Dual 533MHZ
40GB Maxtor hard drive with Mac OS 10.4.6
256MB PC-133 (As soon as i get this iMac ready to trade out ill be swapping out the ram and it will have 886MB.
DVD-CDRW Combo
9 USB ports (ok i kinda cheated there, 2 ok the keyboard, 2 on the Mac, and 5 via Belkin USB PCI card.
If its this fast now im gonna be blown away when i add the additional 768MB of ram.

And im gonna be smart with this one,
meaning,
NOT INSTALLING AOL!
i now use Mail, iChat, and AOL connect (i guess thats kinda like AOL but a great alternative).

But why isnt it called iMail? jw...

No but seriously,
if youre looking for a PowerMac g4 i would recoment that seller......

Thanks for listening,

Tanner.

Glad you like it. I got a similar deal on a DA 667Mhz and modded it a bit. Very nice machine for the cost and very upgradeable.
