Hi everybody.

I just wanted to say hi and get some advice. I been in the computer field 10+ years and used many Micro$$$oft and *nix systems. I always build mine own systems and bought cheap stuff while I was in school. I have too many old machines @ the house and I was looking to upgrade to a "do it all machine." After i looked at desktops and laptops and seeing all the crap the new systems came with (VISTA ) I decide to look at my options. Reformat with Linux or buy a Mac. I am happy to say MAC!!! I think I am going to bite the bullet and buy a MBP. Any advice would be great.

Thanks for the help,
tiny

If it is not imperitive that your next computer be a laptop, get the new iMac. You will be very happy.

If you chose to not be here, you may.

As a previous Linux user, check out my Linux to Mac switcher's guide: lots of good Linux oriented switcher info there. See:

http://www.campbell-tx.net/MacOSX/Li...linux2mac.html

Good luck with the switch. It is a process - it takes some time.
