What is wrong with my battery?

The battery in my MBP with original battery capacity being 5500 mAh was 5061 after the latest calibration on July 29. Now it is suddenly 4022 according to coconutBattery!!! The battery has 61 loadcycles during 9 months, can that be right?

that sounds like a huge drop all of a sudden. my is 6254 mah with 42 loadcycles in 3 months. you might want to take it to an apple store and see what they say. it shouldn't drop that much in that short of time.

Mine just did the same thing, Apple replaced it free of charge. Not sure if apple care had anything to do with it. Here is the link to what was said here...

No, it is all maximum capacity and I have checked it under "About this Mac" to make sure that coconutBattery is not showing me the wrong information. What do you make of that?

when coconutBattery shows the age, does the age mean age of manufacture, or age according the shape of the battery?

Well, I'm on the phone with an Apple rep right now, my MBP battery has only about 50% health after 13 months, and I have even ran the update. The rep is creating a case file right now and said he could send me a new battery!

Thanks to dakineyj for inspiring me to call Apple and replace it!

Mine says 5537 is a full charge and I have only had 2 charge cycles on it so far.

I have just been to the Apple store and they replaced the battery without discussion and the new one also has two years warranty.
