Everyone here seems to say that you get a college discount for the new OS, but when i was in the apple store they were telling me that this is not the case... Anyone know what the real deal is?

Which Apple Store? They are wrong. You attend a College, you get a Student Discount on Leopard.

Thank god! I was getting worried. He kept telling me that I would have to pay 129 for the OS even if I was in college!

Student discounts on software only work on the online Apple store, unless you can get a discount from your college bookstore.

I believe that Stretch is correct. I normally get my software from the college bookstore.

That is correct. He was told no student discount period which is not true. You get it online from the Apple Store, but you do get one. The person at the Apple Store should have told him that in the first place.
