If the other person has a web cam then AIM 6.0 should work.

Isn't iChat 100% compatible with AIM? It certainly logs in and out of my AIM account with no troubles.

My Macs: iMac 27" 3.4 GHz, Mac Pro 3.2 GHz, PowerMac G5 Quad 2.5 GHz, G4 Cube with 1.2 GHz Upgrade
My iStuff: 64GB iPhone 5, 64GB iPad4, 30GB iPod Video, 16GB iPod Touch

Yes, but he's talking about video chatting with someone who owns a PC.

Understood. Unless AIM on a PC doesn't support video, it should, shouldn't it? Unfortunately, I don't know anyone on a PC who uses AIM anymore these days - I do all my video chatting with Skype, which works brilliantly between Macs and PCs.
