What types of compressions does Tiger support? I am switching form Windows to MAc soon, and i have a few programs that are supported by Mac too, and my compression software can either make a zip or rar file. Will Tiger recognize either?

You can deal with zip, RAR or Stuffit files, and probably others as well.
