Command+shift+3 saves the screen to a file on the desktop. Hold down control to place the screen in your clipboard instead of creating a file (then paste the image anywhere).

schweb This has to be one of the best threads ever in MF history...
Cherokee This gets my vote for most innovative thread on Mac-Forums... ever.

Excerpted from the Switcher's FAQ
:

Q: Where's my print screen button, how do I take screenshots?
A: Shortcuts to capture a screen or part of the screen:
Apple+shift+3 - full screen
Apple+shift+4 - choose the area.
Apple+shift+space+4 - active window.
Apple+shift+4, then press CNTL while selecting - choose area, copy to clipboard.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

It's actually:
press Command Shift 4 once THEN press Space once
(not holding them all at the same time)

You'll then see the mouse change into a camera.

Then you can click on a window to take a screenshot of that window.

PM eric so that he can update the FAQ.
