Question Install OS X on Dell hardware?
    Evening all -

I was just wondering if anyone out there has installed OS X on a Dell Laptop or OS X Server on a Dell Poweredge SC420 server?

I recently bought my first Mac after being a hardcore PC guy for over 20 years, both professionally and personally. I LOVE it! And now, I am interested in putting OS X on my partner's Dell laptop (I know he's jealous ), and I'd like to kick MS off of my server if possible, while I'm at it.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers // Ian

MacOS X is not licensed to be loaded on anything other than Apple Hardware. While there are ways to do what you suggest, they violate the EULA and are technically illegal.

That aside, you will not find any help for this subject here and this sort of activity is frowned upon on these forums. It is also against the forum rules.

Odds are against, I would say, MDDG...

That is against Apple's EULA, NoVARaif. Hence against forum rules. If he wants to use OS X, he'll have to buy a Mac.
