Dear all Macer,
I want to repartition the OS X, but don't know give how big the OS X partition is suitable, I will install many Adobe, and other design software in this Mac (Do 40GB is enough? And how to using the CD1 to repartition, do it hard for newbie?) But also want to make a 40GB partition for the Windows XP Plus other free space to save the Artwork. Thx |

how big is your Hard Disk? 80GB? If you have switched to Mac, I doubt you would need a 40GB partition for XP..Around 20-25GB would do, since most major programs have Mac support, unless you plan on installing lots of games.
40GB should be enough for an Adobe Suite. I am using Web CS3 and a few other programs like iWork, Office 2004 and the entire iLife Suite and I only use about 8GB harddisk space. But I would recommend having more space on your Mac partition if it is your main OS since it is going to grow. BTW,I have a 120GB hdd and I am only using 20GB for XP - Mainly to play games |
