What is the 12" iBook and its specs most comparable to in the windows world?
Like is the iBooks 1 GHz proc performing as the same as a 2.4 GHz Pentium 4?
I'm selling my windows laptop to get this ibook and i want to know if I'm downgrading or hopefully staying the same.

The iBook G4 I believe will perform more then well enough after the notebook you mentioned IMO. But the switch to OS X away from that pc OS is the most important bit! Just don't hold back on RAM I'd say 512 is a good start

The truth of the matter is, there isn't really any way to compare the two, and anyone who tried to would just be guessing. I'd suggest visiting an Apple retailer and playing with one to get a feel for it. I think you'll love it.
