Weird e-mail problem

Lately I have been getting e-mails from my regular contacts with nothing inside them. I am using the mac default e-mail. Also some of my friends have said that they have written but i have never received there mail. Is there some spam setting that I have on that would cause this ?? I have checked with my server & everything is fine there.

Anyone have any idea about this.
