i'm looking for a program that can turn the isight in to video recordig i have a built in as well as a standalone, the stand alon is for the girlfreind when i get her a g4

Gawker lets you do stop action videos. I have done a few with the MacBook on the dash of the truck that came out pretty cool.

He's not looking for stop motion.

As Martin said, iMovie and Quicktime will let you use the iSight to record video. I'm not sure if they will recognize an external camera, depends also on what camera, but iMovie might recognize it as a source.

iMovie and Quicktime will let you record with other cameras that are non firewire. They should show up in iMovie etc, you just have to download macam.
