How much of a noticeable difference is there between the 2.16 and 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duos? Would you have to be working insane amounts on your Mac to notice a difference?

170 Mhz is hardly a considerable difference. If you are using heavy-duty apps, you are going to notice more of a difference with more RAM.

If you have a program that is heavily CPU based (ex. audio ripping) then you'll notice a difference of a couple of seconds. If you do this often, that couple of seconds can amount to several hours over the long term.
However, if you'll be using the Mac for more of a general use or even occasional CPU intensive programs, then the extra 170MHz isn't worth it. Last edited by Kash; 02-20-2007 at 07:47 PM. |
