Hey guys,I just bought my new macbook and I don't know if it's me but I think the fan or battery it's heating.stays stable but I'm wondering if it's normal?

i guess the first thing to do, without knowing anymore, would be to check for firmware updates. there were a couple semi-recently. make sure if you do have to do them, do them in order, and follow the instructions on apple's site exactly!

I agree with the previous posters, but want to add that the MacBook and MacBook Pro do indeed run very warm - very probably warmer than notebooks you may have owned previously. It is not a defect in design, but rather the nature of newer, faster processors that are just as powerful as their desktop brethren, but have less space in which to cool the chip. This is not something specific to Apple, but is a problem industry-wide which is why chip manufacturers have started to focus on performance-per-watt rather than simply constantly upping the clock speed. Also, it's important to note that Apple does not recommend that you use the machine on your lap (they do not refer to the MacBooks as "laptops" for precisely this reason). If you find it uncomfortable to do so (as many do), consider a cooling pad for use between your lap and the notebook itself.

Most people I know solved there heat problem by downloading a fan control. I downloaded this and never had any problem after.
