Maccase and Macbook

I just bought one, and I love the messenger bag it came with, but the maccase itself looks a little tight. There's a hard seam on both INSIDE edges of the case, is this normal (or is the whole inside supposed to be the soft felt) ? They really look the they would scratch the sides of the computer. |
