I fi have a collection of music videos where do i put them so i can see them in front row?

Just place them anywhere under the Movies directory in your home folder. Make sure you have the right codecs to play them also.

I have managed to get the videos in the video folder but how do i get music videos to shop up on music videos then tv shows within front row ?

you can use "lostify" to change the id tags on them so they will show up in music videos, tv shows etc. i don't remeber where to download it, just google "lostify"

Can front row be configured to use the external drive rather than a folder in the home folder??

What if you put alias' to whatever media you have on your ext HD, in their respective folders in your home folder. I'd try it myself but don't have an external HD.
