Maybe im dumb, but im trying to upload a dvd I burnt before. I used mactheripper and it is now is a file containing the audio and video. How do i get this in imovie hd? I went to import and it started but immediatly the little import box disappeared. Can someone help?

MacTheRipper can only be used to copy movies or make images of them. They are in data format, not like playable format. You need to use a different program to rip the movies into an actual watchable format.

Make times people have suggested HandBrake for this sort of procedure. I still don't know if it will work in iMovie because I don't know anything about iMovie and what formats it supports.
