Anything out there to do backups/ghosts of the current image?

One thing about PC and PC laptops, I ran norton ghost and acronis true image. Every week I'd ghost or backup my machine to an external harddrive and it would ease my mind knowing I could always restore the machine to the last time I backed it up just in case something happens.

I've already installed a ton of apps on the macbook, and would hate to have to do the same thing, and reinstall everything if something gets corrupt or crashes...

Is there backup software to purchase or download for free, that will ghost the machine, and backup the OS, so if something happens we can choose the last saved image and be back to normal?

ANyone have any ideas? Thanks. :)

Apples Disc Utility, included with OSX, will do a backup/image of any drive you want to another drive. It's in the Utilities folder inside you Applications folder.

as long as you are not booted in the image you want to clone.

Righto. Which is what makes SuperDuper the amazing app that it is. :-)

That's why Acronis True Image for the PC is the best thing ive ever seen. Back up an entire drive in 10 min, while you're using the computer and accessing files.

To restore an image completely, takes 10 min.

I will try super duper

SuperDuper is great!

Highly recommended bit of software for full backups.
