I used WinRar on my PC to zip/split large files into smaller pieces.

I've used the archive function on the MBP, but it only makes one large archive. Is it possible to split/archive in OS X?

Thanks

Try Stuffit...

http://www.stuffit.com/mac/index.html

This will compress and expand most anything.... There is a free version as well as a Pro (pay) version.

Oh... I should have done a little more research.. I thought that program was only an extractor.

The free version does only extract, but you can use the Deluxe for 30 days (Demo) w/o paying.

I have not used it myself... but a completely free Compressor/Extractor here: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/16149
