* 512MB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 1x512
* 500GB Serial ATA drive * ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM * SuperDrive 8x (DVD+R DL/DVD+RW/CD-RW) * iWork '06 preinstalled * Wireless Keyboard & Mouse + Mac OS X - U.S. English * Accessory kit * 20-inch widescreen LCD * 2GHz Intel Core Duo * AirPort Extreme * Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR I am so excited! I checked RAM prices on Crucial and RAM is HALF price from Apple! Dang. So I will be getting 2 GB of RAM from Crucial, unless you all recommend another brand. Woohoo!!! Oh, I also got the education discount (I am a teacher) and saved $300! Last edited by caveatipss; 05-31-2006 at 01:53 PM. |

Congrats - will you PLEASE explain what the "Accessory Kit" is?
I have seen several posts where people include the specs of their new Mac, and it includes "Accessory Kit". Inevitably, someone follows up with a question, "What is the Accessory Kit". As of yet, I have not seen that question answered! So, please tell me, what is the Accessory Kit?!? Oh, and, aahh, I'm going to have to go ahead and ask you to come in on Sunday, too...yeah |

Nice, but I thought opening up your iMac/Mini voids the warranty... I could have sworn reading something like since they put the iSight in the iMacs it's been that way.
Congrats, don't cancel the order... iMacs are good. My family purchased one for my grandmother, however so far it's been sitting in my house (as I'm on it now). Fast shipping... got here in 3 DAYS! Shipped on the 24th and was set to arrive on the 1st but got here on the 27th. |

Congrats, caveatipss.
Assuming you don't change your mind and actually receive this latest Mac order, you'll no doubt be really pleased with it. It's a truly fantastic piece of hardware, period. Also consider this: when Apple do replace this model with the next one, you'll still have a great system that will serve you as well then as it will today. Enjoy your new iMac!
