SATA 2 in G5 ??

I was wondering will my powermac G5 able to take a SATA 2 Hard Drive ?

Yes it will.

It will work, but no matter what drive you use, it won't run any faster; you're limited by the speed of the SATA controller in the G5.

Unless you use a separate controller card, of course....
