Just got my new 20" Core Duo iMac on Saturday, and I love it. I didn't upgrade anything from Apple (have 2 GB of RAM to be delivered tomorrow), but I do have/use an external firewire connected drive (bootable) as a backup. Hope you're as excited with yours as I am with mine. In addition to all it does, and how well it does it, it's just a beautiful piece of equipment, which is hard to say about much these days. Congratulations!

I have a 20 inch core duo. Taking it in tomorrow to the apple store to get fixed. Love the computer.

sounds good but check out newegg and other places you might be able to get all that memory for a few bucks cheaper

I think it is the remote control that just comes with it. It is not an option: it just appears.

lol right now, I use a 5 year old IBM thinkpad with missing keys, all sorts of Windows problems, etc. This is going to be a major step up hehe.
