I want to delete downloaded mpeg movie files. How and where do I access them on my iMac? and then go about removing them from the hard disk? Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Depends on what program you used to download them.... i can't remember what IE does with downloaded files, but Safari puts them on the desktop by default. As far as deleting them, just drag them to the trash, and right-click or control-click on the trash and choose "Empty Trash".

If you want to find them, just do a search in Finder for the filename
