Has anyone had problems with "drop-out" on their wireless connections? I have tried using airport express for my wireless speakers as well as my printer.I am apparently making connection because the printer does begin to print and the speakers will begin to produce sound but only very very intermittantly.

I have checked for interference from cell phones, etc. and that can't be the problem. Either the airport express is bad or the 802.11 card is bad I guess.

Could this be related to anything else?

I'm going to do some wireless testing myself at my home - I've been using it a bit without problem but not to the extent you are. But from my experience in debugging problems - always go to the easiest and most basic solutions first. And with wireless that means the actual transmission / reception of signals.

-First (if you have a way such as a SW program) maksure each device at least has moderate signal strength at its current location.

- Second improve that signal (and reduce interference) by placing the antennas as high as possible for week to see if your problems subside - each antenna should have no metal obstructions near them

- Lastly you may need to install a wireless repeater to enhance your signal paths

Keep in mind that radio waves can pass thru walls / people but are attenuated in doing so -- Last week I was in our living room working on my wireless laptop when my moderate signal dropped to near zero --- I went to our office to find than my wife had two of her friends and 2 kids in the office showing them a web site ---- all this "mass" was directly between our antenna and my easy chair ------ need to move that antenna higher !

good luck
