is there a wau to record streaming video in final cut. i have my tv hooked up to my camcorder which is hooked up to my comp. i can record the streaming video with quicktime but the quality is average. can i someohow record this streamming video using final cut?

Mac Specs: 2011 MBP, i7, 16GB RAM, MBP 2.16Ghz Core Duo, 2GB ram, Dual 867Mhz MDD, 1.75GB ram, ATI 9800 Pro vid

xstep is offline
Go into Log and Capture and try Capture Now.

I doubt this will resolve your quality issue though, as I think FCP is using the QuickTime components to perform the import. But I could be wrong.

The real issue may be as simple as the fact that your recording a crapy signal. TV isn't nearly as good as digital video and it is being converted in the process.
