I just bought a second hand imac, 27" 3.06. It did not come with the wireless mouse or keyboard but it did come with a mac wired mouse. It is an optical sensor small button on the top and buttons on the left and right side.

System Preferences > Mouse > Secondary click.

Do you have this box checked? I know for the wireless mouse if you want a right click you have to check this box.
