    Managing email on various divices

This has puzzled me for some time and now I have introduced another imac I thought it was time to try and sort it.

I have multiple email accounts set up on an 2 imacs, a macbook, and Ipad.

Is there a way that I can set my incoming email on my macbook and ipad to only show as unread if that is the case and they havent been read on my work Imac?

Yes. That is possible. I have Mail configured this way on my iPhone, iiPad, and Mac. Check with your email provider to see of they offer IMAP based accounts. Most do. Here's a better description of the iMAP protocol and its benefits.
