What's the difference between dragging photos in iphoto to the desktop and using the "Export" tools? When I drag the photos they seem to be the same file size; when I export with maximum quality the file size is greater than the original.
Thank you

No difference.

When you export with "maximum quality," you are creating a new JPG that has less compression than the original, resulting in a larger file (but it's actually no better in image *quality* than the original, of course).
