    How do I change the name of my device in "Find My Mac?"

    If I'm not mistaken, go to System Preferences, then Sharing. Change the "Computer Name" to whatever you like.

    Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu).

    Tried that. "Sharing" changes name of device in a local intranet, but doesn't change the name in the Devices list in Find My Mac.
