For what printer and what version of OS X? Have you tried letting OS X configure the printer for you (OS X can configure many printers without installing any third party drivers)?

thank you.
I looked and my old Macbook OS X 10.4.11 does not find anything for an
Epson Stylus SX510W

I downloaded the corresponding Epson's driver and all the other apps , BUT must I Restart each time I add something?

The printer comes out on the Printer set up box (because it is connected) but it won't find the drivers ...

I have put the downloads in Applications.

Should I put them in Utilities??

All suggestions are welcome.

Have you double clicked the .dmg file and let it run. Epson drivers will expand and place themselves in Applications. From there Software Updates will update as necessary.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Tiger is a very old version of OS X. Are you sure the Epson printer you purchased is compatible with OS X 10.4.11?

Edit: Well, according to this site: LINK The drivers they have for download should work for any Intel Mac. Give it a try.
