I have MacMini with 3 external USB drives
One of the drives is for time machine
The other contains thousands of my photographs
I would like to know if I can keep this drive in sync with the 3rd spare usb drive as a
back up of my photos

Any help appreciated

You mean keep a duplicate of the photo disk?

Copy everything you have on the photo disk to the third disk. Then use a sync tool run daily to keep them in sync.

There are many tools on the Mac App Store or you can use rsync and Automator
There are several tutorials out there. Here's one:
rsync + Automator = free and easy backups for your Mac — Practically Efficient

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup

I'm too lazy for any of that and use a RAID 1 enclosure.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
