    Cool Wireless printing
I have an Imac(2012) connected to an airport extreme and i am currently printing with no problems to a canon MP550. I have recently accquired a new ipad, my question is this, is it possible to print from the ipad with the airport extreme?.Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

iOS on your iPad uses Airprint and if you want to print to the printer wirelessly then that printer must be AirPrint enabled.

    Or

The printer must be connected either directly to the USB port or to a USB Hub which is connected in turn to the Airport Extreme

    Cheers

    Specs:
    27" iMac i5, 3.2 GHz, iPad 3, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6+, 3 iPods, Yosemite
Or, instead download and install the handy "Printopia" which will enable any or all of your printers to "AirPrint" from your iPad or iPhone. It's not free ($19.95) but that's a lot less than buying a new printer that is airprint capable.
